UNILAB

Mar. 15, 2013

Orientation.

We had orientation today. I’ve met new friends. Whoopie! Oh, and I also saw some familiar faces from MC whose gonna spend their 200hrs. at Unilab.

We had safety and security orientation. Policies and rules were mentioned. Some reported cases were told to serve as learning examples daw. One of the most important thing I learned today was how to use a fire extinguisher. Before akala ko I’ll just gonna press it to work but thanks to Unilab napatunayan kong mali ako.

We had picture taking for our ID.

Unilab is very strict. Sobrang higpit. It’s a good thing though.

The orientation made me even more excited to work there. I like the people kasi very accommodating sila. J

UNILAB

Mar. 11, 2013

I validated the employees’ PAMS. I’m not sure what P-A-M-S stands for but these were forms that all regular employees answer regarding their performance. I need to validate 3000+ PAMS so I wasn’t able to finish it.

They value their employees much. How can I say this? PAMS is about evaluation, with this, I believe that this is an ingredient to be qualified for higher positions. Also, malalaman ng organization what’s the perspective of their employees (kung satisfied ba sila or what). It is a privilege to be entrusted with these confidential documents.

I observed that every employees call each other “Ma’am” or “Sir”. Kahit boss “Ma’am” ang tawag sa maintenance staff. With this, I can see their respect for each other. I was flattered when Ms. Mau called me “Ma’am”. Sobrang sarap pakingan.

UNILAB

Mar. 8, 2013

First day of work!

What did I feel? I’m more excited than nervous. Why? Sa Unilab ako magwwork. UNILAB is UNILAB.

I’ve met my bosses Ms. Mau and Ms. Simone. Ms. Mau introduced me to the tasks I will be doing. To summarize everything she said, I will be analyzing and helping them identify the top performers for the year. Sounds exciting for me.

I'm honored to be entrusted in that line of activities because it’s about performance. Big responsibility!

So to begin, Ms. Shine taught me how to evaluate employees. She was very patient and accommodating. She’s nice! And oh, she’s also a product of Miriam College kaya mej comfortable ako.

Ms. Tin gave my time cards. Because I don’t know how to use the machine, Ms. Simone accompanied me. She also gave some introductions about the organization.

First was amazing! Sobrang warm ng mga employees. :)
